God Speaks Through Suffering (Job 32–33)

In this episode of Reading the Bible Daily with Dave, we continue our study of the book of Job by examining Job 32–33, where a new voice enters the conversation, Elihu. After Job's three friends fall silent, Elihu speaks with humility, conviction, and a deep concern for God's glory. He explains that God is not silent in suffering. Rather, the Lord speaks through warnings, discipline, and even pain—not to destroy, but to awaken, humble, and restore His people. At the heart of Elihu's message is the hope of a mediator one who proclaims, "I have found a ransom." This points us forward to Jesus Christ, the true Mediator who redeems sinners from the pit and restores them to fellowship with God. This passage reminds us that suffering is never meaningless. God uses it to call His people back to Himself and to prepare the way for His redemptive purposes.
