In a polytheistic society, the Bible, and the whole of creation, affirms that God is God, and we are not. The holiness of God is both terrifying and beautiful. Until we understand both aspects of His nature, we will not know Him. When we finally come to understand who God is, it effects what we do, and how we live. Not only is God ‘Holy Holy Holy’, all powerful, all knowing, all present… He is near. He is inviting us to taste and see that He is good.
