God, the True King (Daniel 4:1-37)
from Ashland Community Church Hosted by Ashland Community Church
In this message on Daniel 4:1–37, Pastor Logan Armstrong preaches on "God, the True King," showing how God humbles human pride and reigns supreme over all earthly kingdoms. Pastor Logan breaks down the passage into three clear points: The Warning of Pride (vv. 1–27): King Nebuchadnezzar has a troubling dream about a massive tree being chopped down to a stump. Daniel fearlessly interprets the dream, warning the king that God will judge his self-exaltation unless he repents and turns from his sin. From Beauty to Beast (vv. 28–33): A year later, as Nebuchadnezzar boasts on his palace roof about building "great Babylon" by his own power, judgment falls instantly. Stripped of his sanity, he is driven out to live like a wild animal, showing that human pride is ultimately a form of spiritual madness. True Humility and Restoration (vv. 34–37): When the appointed time ends, Nebuchadnezzar looks up to heaven, receives his mind back, and genuinely repents. He extols the King of Heaven, confessing that God alone rules forever and easily humbles those who walk in pride. Ultimately, this passage reminds us that every earthly ruler is temporary, but everyone who humbles themselves before King Jesus belongs to an everlasting kingdom. 🖥️ Learn more at ashlandcc.net 📱 Stay connected with us on Facebook and Instagram!
