Sometimes we go so far as to build our doctrine and dogma around these conceptions. Like it or not we start to manufacture a box that our god is to reside in. When God doesn't do what we thought He should do we usually have a negative reaction. In Matthew chapter 11, we find just such negative responses to Christ.
