God values his words……. Deut 9:10, 12:32, Prov 30:5-6, Rev 22:18-19. If my bible has more words than yours, more verses than yours, different words in different passages, are they the same? If not, then the one that has been utilized/preserved through history would be the correct word of God. WORDS KJV – 783,137 NKJV – 770,430 NIV – 727,969 ESV – 757,439 NASB – 782,815 Missing verses in modern translations – Matt 17:21, 18:11, 23:14. Mark 7:16, 9:44,46, 11:26, 15:28. Luke 17:36. John 5:3-4. Acts 8:37, 15:34, 24:6-8, 28:29. Romans 16:24. 1John 5:7-8. An argument for the “oldest manuscripts” doesn’t really work – 2Cor 2:17, 4:2, His Word has been fulfilled (Col 1:25, 2Tim 2:7) will you believe it so that it can work in you 1Thess 2:13? Will you study it, and rightly divide it, so that you can be a workman approved unto God 2Tim 2:15? Not inspired things Look up Psalm 119. In many editions of the Bible, you will find, at the head of every eight verses, one of the letters of the Hebrew alphabet, and perhaps the name of the letter. These headings are not part of the Hebrew text, and many Bibles do not have them. They have been supplied to show that the psalm is a form of poetry called an acrostic. There are 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet, and this psalm contains 22 units of 8 verses each. Each of the 22 sections is given a letter of the Hebrew alphabet, and each line in that section begins with that letter. A. Aleph – The blessedness of those who walk in Gods word and the longing to do so. B. Beth – Purity of life and meditation of God’s word. Red letters are not inspired, all the scripture are the words of God and are equal. Many people go to the “red letters” because they believe they carry more weight? Jesus appeared in the OT – Did Jesus actually utter it? – John 3:10-21 Chapters and verses are not inspired – They are for sure helpful with being able to follow along. Knowing where you stopped so that you can pick back up where you left off. Easy memorization. Easy to use out of context, 1Cor – AND is a conjunction used to connect words of the same part of speech, clauses, or sentences, that are to be taken jointly:… 2:1, 3:1, Moreover is an adverb that means in addition to what has been said. It is used to transition into additional information or to connect a sentence to a related one that has already been said. 1Cor 10:1, 15:1 1Cor 12-14 flow together.
