God Waits for Your Response!
from Beside Still Waters · host Christian Javois
God’s great call to action is proclaimed in the Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ. In the coming of the Son of God, heaven and earth are summoned to respond. The eternal Word took on flesh and entered our world in humility and grace, yet His arrival remains the most glorious event in human history. Throughout the Gospel accounts, we see a variety of responses to His coming. The angels responded with worship and praise. The people of Jerusalem, Judea, and the Jordan Valley responded with repentance and confession of sin. The Magi journeyed from afar to offer gifts and worship. Many religious leaders responded with indifference, while Herod responded with hostility and destructive intent. The question remains as urgent today as it was then: How will you respond to Jesus Christ?

What this episode covers
Throughout the Gospel accounts, we see a variety of responses to Jesus’ first coming. The question remains: Will you worship Him, repent before Him, and receive Him as Lord? Will you remain indifferent to His claims? Or will you resist His authority over your life? No one who encounters Christ can remain truly neutral. His coming calls for a response. Consider carefully who He is, why He came, and what His invitation means for you. Then respond with the faith, humility, and devotion that are worthy of the King who came to save.
