God Will Make A Way | Life of Moses | Week 6 | Ryan Iverson | August 6 2023 Text: Exodus 6:10-13, 28-30; 7:1-7 Big Idea: As we walk through the life of Moses, we see how God makes a way where there is no way. Throughout his life and the journey towards the promised land God was going to make a way for His purposes to be fulfilled but Moses had to trust him and give him all the glory. 00:00 Recap of Life of Moses 02:00 Personal Story 04:40 Learning to be willing and obedient. 06:03 God doesn’t want perfection… He wants willingness. 06:49 God just wants a willing heart. 07:15 Let’s look back at Moses’ life really quick… 10:01 All we see in that season, is the beginning and the end. 10:28 Don’t delay the process, because God is coming to ask if you’re ready! 12:18 God shows up to Moses when he is 80… 12:33 There is no chit chat, no preparation, or warming Moses up when God comes. 12:53 Exodus 3:7-8, 10 14:06 Moses argues back with God and God continues to speak to Moses. 14:30 Exodus 3:11, 23, Exodus 4:1,2 16:36 Exodus 4:11 … “Who makes mouths? Isn’t I, the Lord?” 17:37 Who made you? 18:30 How many of us are just like Moses? How many of us are living in the no? 19:50 Do you see a pattern here? Moses argues with God. God speaks. Moses argues with God. God speaks. 20:21 Despite Moses being unwilling, God kept speaking, encouraging and responding to Moses. 21:22 How much of the situation of our lives is due to our unwillingness of not saying yes to God? 22:53 You can be used even in your failure. 23:28 I created you to make a different in my Kingdom. 24:02 Many of us are disciples but we’re not living the life God has asked us. 24:53 He died on the cross for our sins so we would fulfill His glory on the planet. 25:27 Finally Moses agreed to do what God had asked of Him. 26:56 What? I finally have willingness and I’m ending up in failure. 27:00 Exodus 5:22-23, Exodus 6:1, 9 28:40 God is with you, He will provide for you… 29:30 God is calling you despite your excuses. 29:45 Exodus 7 31:16 God kept calling and extending grace. 31:45 We will never be completely perfect in our surrender to God. 32:36 When you say yes to God, it’s a battle every time. 33:19 It’s hard to give things up! 33:34 Romans 7:18-24 34:57 The benefits are far greater, but so are the asks! 36:46 Exodus 7:6 37:56 Romans 8:38-39 38:00 Nothing separates you from God’s love. 39:30 I had you in mind for this purpose. 40:17 120 years, Moses is standing in the gateway of the promised land… 41:20 Matthew 17:1-3 42:30 The ultimate goal is your complete surrender. But…God knows us well enough that He will take any surrender – even with your fear, insecurity, brokenness, fear and concern.
