God will pour out His Spirit / Acts of the Apostles (TV Audio #506)

'You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.' (Acts 1.8, NIV) The Book of Acts of the Apostles is a New Testament book that chronicles the early history of the Christian church after Jesus' resurrection and ascension. Written by Luke, it serves as a sequel to the Gospel of Luke and focuses on the spread of Christianity from Jerusalem to Rome. It begins with the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, which empowers the apostles, particularly Peter and Paul, to preach the Gospel. The book details their missionary journeys, the growth of the church, and the challenges faced, including persecution and internal disputes. Acts highlights the inclusion of Gentiles into the Christian community, showcasing the church's expansion beyond its Jewish roots.
