What it means to wait on the Lord: Rev. Owes read Isaiah 30:18. And therefore, will the Lord wait that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you, for the Lord is a God of judgment. Blessed are they that wait for him.2. Pivitol Teaching: Waiting on the Lord means serving Him while we wait. Rev. Cherry explained how a waiter serves us in the restaurant. They are always busy tending to our needs. We must wait on the Lord the same way. Rev. Owes shared that we must prepare while we wait. Doing nothing is not an option.3. Ministry Highlights: God has prepared for you. When you arrive at the moment of crisis, God has already prepared the answer and the way forward. He will wait until you look beyond your pain and look for Him.4. Words of Encouragement: Both Revends were transparent about the initial shock concerning the death of their husbands. Both expected to bring them home. Rev. Owes discloses that she had her first panic attack. Rev. Cherry asked God, What is this? Through it all, God waited to be kind to both women. He will also be kind to all who believe in Him. 5. Special Message for Women: Being a Christian does not mean that life is easy. It means that you have a holy God who will wait on you so that He can be kind and gracious to you. He loved you before the trial or circumstance, during the trial, and He will love you after it. He will also give you the grace to get through it.6. Personal Touch: Both Reverends received a tremendous deposit of God's word as they sat alongside their husbands in ministry. They are open to pouring out to those women who will remain teachable.
