God With Us: Early Letters, Week 7 “A Letter to a Troubled Church” (1Corinthians 1-11) Corinth was one of the most progressive cities in the Roman empire, ideally situated to be a center for commerce, shipping, and trade. It was not easy to live as a Christian in ancient Corinth, and Paul’s letters to this church deal with the many problematic issues they faced - moral struggles, divisions, doctrinal deviations, lawsuits, pride issues surrounding spiritual gifts, focus on human wisdom & eloquence, marriage issues, drunkenness during communion, etc. This message is part of our God With Us series where Pastor Bob walks us through the entire Bible.
