God With Us: Later Letters, Week 9 Hope Fixed on God The overall theme of this letter is that our greatest testimony will often come through our greatest trials. At the time of its writing, some believers were suffering severely, and Peter was challenging them to keep their hope fixed on God. Even though this world might mistreat them for their faith in Christ and deprive them of justice, they would surely be rewarded in the next.
