n today’s world of shortcuts, quick fame, and instant gratification, the values of hard work and integrity can easily fade from a child’s foundation. But as godly parents, we are called to model and teach a work ethic that honors God—not for applause, but as an act of worship. The story of Joseph in Genesis 39 is a powerful reminder. Even in slavery and prison, Joseph worked with diligence and integrity. He didn’t wait for favorable conditions to give his best. God saw his heart, and in due time, exalted him. His faithful stewardship, even in obscurity, prepared him for national leadership.
