God's Armor - Ephesians 6:10-20

The Armor of God passage is one of those sections of the Bible that may be so familiar that we can miss some of the most important aspects of Paul's teaching. Here are three helpful things to remember. First, it's GOD'S armor. It's not ours. Second, it is defensive in nature - specifically helping protect us from the attacks of God's spiritual enemy. Third, it is collective and communal. While I have an individual role to play, the armor of God is for the body of Christ. So in a deeper sense, we, all together, put on the full armor of God.
