The truth is, the reason we think that a lot of the time is because of the unbiblical teaching within the church and other believers. When man teaches their standards instead of the Bible it always looks like God is sitting around with a big stick waiting for us to mess up so He can whack us on the head! God is everything but that. He is a loving God that is there to pick us up when we fall and He wants us to succeed in this life as we prepare for the next one.
