God’s Cleansing--Brings Restoration | Zechariah 3:1-10 | Message 6 | 08/25/24

In today's sermon, Pastor Andrew Coleman preaches on Zechariah 3: 1-10. In this passage, Zechariah has the fourth dream in a series of 8 dreams he receives from the Lord in one night. This fourth dream depicts Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord in filthy clothing. In the dream, the angel of the Lord removes the filthy clothing and gives Joshua pure and clean clothing. The angel of the Lord also prophecies of "the Branch"--the coming Messiah--who will bring salvation and cleansing. We see many important truths in this passage. We see that God CHOOSES and PURSUES his people, despite their uncleanness and sinfulness. We see that God RESTORES sinful humanity through the Savior, Jesus Christ.
