God's Covenant: Adam

We look around this world and humanity cannot help to think that there is something off, and in the account of Genesis, we see that we are not wrong. From the beginning, God made a very good creation – it was peaceful, there was no sickness, no death, no depression, but sadly, there was a fault in the system, that was the inclination to fall when humanity was exposed to deception and evil. And so Creation, through the serpent, has fallen into utter devastation, because men could not uphold one simple task – do not eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. We would think that after this failure, this rebellion against God, that God would just give up on us, but the opposite is true. The moment that Adam fell from God’s loving grace, God made a promise to Adam that He, through Eve, would save us. And by trusting in Him and waiting patiently, God has done that in the sending of His own son, Jesus, who will soon restore Creation back to its order and bring us into loving relationship with God again, cleansing of our sins, giving us eternal life that the serpent stole.
