Friendship is one of God's greatest gifts—but it was never meant to be casual or self-centered. From the beginning, God designed relationships to encourage us, challenge us, and help us become more like Christ.In John 15:12–17, Jesus redefines friendship by calling His followers friends and commanding us to love one another as He has loved us. Philippians 2:3 teaches us to value others above ourselves with humility. 1 John 3:16 reveals that true love is demonstrated through sacrifice, just as Christ laid down His life for us. And Proverbs 27:17 reminds us that "as iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."This message, “God's Design for Friendship,” explores what biblical friendship looks like and how God uses healthy relationships to shape our character, strengthen our faith, and encourage us through every season of life.
