Discipline is part of every parent's better future for their children. The reflection of every good father is seen in God the Father. The error of Eli was not correcting his son's with the same degree of their indiscipline. No matter how deplorable your son's character may be, don't give up trying to make them better. Without correction, a child grows with bad character and when it is formed, a bad society is created. Don't despise God's chastening, no matter your status in life. A period of light afflictions, is a temporary time of trouble and setback, which later brings a tremendous and eternal glory on you. Your season of mercy and kindness have arrived and your days of affliction are over.
