God's Gentle Power - Sermon
from The CCUPC Cutting Room Floor
In his sermon, Pastor James reflects on the nature of power as demonstrated by God through the birth of Jesus, emphasizing that true power is a blend of might and compassion. He contrasts the tyrannical power of Herod with the gentle, nurturing power of God, who comes not just to save but to lead with both direction and tenderness. Pastor James encourages the congregation to assess their own use of power and influence in daily life, advocating for a Christlike approach that balances authority and compassion. Ultimately, the message centers on embodying the perfect example of power found in the Incarnation, aiming to reflect God's nature in how believers exercise influence in their own lives.
