God’s Good Design for the Church with Jonathan Griffiths & Following Jesus Even When It Hurts with Lina Abujamra

from Karl and Crew · host Moody Radio

Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued our weekly theme, “Sticking with it when…” exploring how to heal after experiencing church hurt. Lina Abujamra joined us to explain how pain and church hurt can tempt us toward self-sufficiency, and why we still need Jesus and His people to keep standing in faith. Lina is the founder of Living with Power Ministries and has written “Still Standing: Following Jesus Even When It Hurts.” We then had Jonathan Griffiths join us to explain a few reasons people may be neglecting to attend church in person and why gathering in a local church aligns with God’s plans. Jonathan leads Encounter the Truth, a ministry that broadcasts religious programming on radio and broadcast. He also wrote, “Gathered for Good: God’s Good Design for the Local Church.” We also had Chip Ingram join us to discuss how to mirror the love of Christ to others. He is the CEO and Teaching Pastor of Living on the Edge. We then turn to the phone lines to hear from our listeners regarding the question, “How has the church shown up for you when you needed them the most?” You can hear the highlights of today’s program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.
