God’s Masterpiece
from Bible Highlights · host Cleandro Viana
God’s Masterpiece “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” — Psalm 139:14 This verse carries a powerful truth: you are not here by accident. Every part of who you are was shaped by the hands of the Creator. God didn’t rush when He made you. He formed you with love, intention, and purpose. The image of God forming Adam from the dust is one of the most beautiful in the Bible. Just picture it — the God of the universe, kneeling down, touching the earth, and with His own hands shaping a human being. And it wasn’t just Adam. That same care, that same attention to detail, was poured into you. The psalmist says we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” In some translations, the word “fearfully” is used to highlight the awe and wonder of God’s craftsmanship — it’s something beyond our understanding. It reminds us that God doesn’t make mistakes. Everything He creates is filled with purpose and beauty. We all have moments when we look in the mirror and only see flaws. Or we compare ourselves to others and feel like we’re not enough. But the truth is, your worth doesn’t come from what others say about you or from what you do. It comes from the fact that you were created by the hands of God Himself. That makes you a masterpiece — even with your imperfections. Let this verse remind you today of your value. God knows you. He sees you. And He made you exactly the way He wanted to. You are His work of art. Take a moment to pray. Thank God for who you are. Ask Him to help you see yourself through His eyes. And whenever you forget your worth, come back to Psalm 139:14 and remember: you are fearfully and wonderfully made.
