God's People Do Justice

from Delta Church - SPI · host Jonathan Davis

Micah 6:1-8. When it comes to issues of racial injustice and racial reconciliation it’s important to say that the reconciling work accomplished by Jesus on the cross is sufficient. It’s also important to say the Bible doesn’t leave it there. Not only does the gospel of Jesus Christ spring forth with good news vertically, but the gospel also has good news implications horizontally—first and foremost good news in the way we call people to repent and believe in Jesus for salvation, but also good news in the way we “learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, and plead the widow’s cause” (Isa. 1:17) in light of the grace we've received. Micah helps us to see this in his famous call to "do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God."
