God's Power does not make you Dumb. 3/25/26 Frame the Week with the Word

The POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT to EMPOWER you to Operate at the HIGHEST LEVEL for you life. Today we look at the statement "Speaking in Tongues makes you dumb" and lines that up with the Bible record of Joel, Moses, Daniel, Solomon, and Paul. Key ideas; Paul was brilliant-minded and wrote that the empowerment of the HOly Spirit gave Him the edge in communicating truth to Ephesus, Corinth, and Galatia. this empowerment helped him understand complicated religions and arguments that countered the claims of Jesus and articulate God's truth to the highly educated philosophers and educators of his day. The same empowerment allowed him to stay in high moral excellence in extremely adverse conditions of stonning, shipwreck and constant opposition from the gentile world and rejection from the church for the first 14 years of his ministry. The power of the Holy Spirit made him faithful and effective, not 'less smart'. Paul wrote that everything he knew from the Torah, He was able to successfully communicate, bring into application and bring to LIFE through this empowerment. Daniel was 10 times more brilliant-minded than his counterparts, Moses was highly educated and used that critical thinking and governing ability to guide God's people. Priscilla was highly educated and used to teach the men and women of Corinth and correct/educate Apollos. There is no correlation between tongues and 'unintelligent." Some of the most brilliant-minded scholars today are spirit empowered and spirit led, using both their God-given intellect and insights and breakthroughs that only the Holy Spirit can give in the world of inventions, academics and scholarly work. Grateful for such scholars as Craig Keener, Catheryn Kroeger and many others who set the course for spirit empowered hermaneutics, and biblical scholarship.
