God's Promise

Promises can feel vague, especially when people wonder whether God has spoken personally to them. God gave Israel something concrete: the land He had promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob centuries earlier, despite long slavery and delay. They had to see it, enter it and make it their home, trusting God rather than their own strength. God cannot lie or change.
