God's Proving Ground

There is precedence throughout the Bible showing God’s desire that men prove they love him more than these (John 21:15-17). This can only be identified to God after men have been tried and made weak through it. As a result, their steadfastness in faith demonstrates to God that they are not weak, but indeed very strong in their love towards him.
