The United States makes up such a smaller percentage of the world’s population. So why are we limiting our company sales to just a national market? This week’s guest, Wendy Pease, is an expert in global marketing. She walks through the proper steps and resources available to small or medium-sized business owners and how to make connections with customers from all over the globe!   Takeaways: MYTH SMASH: “My company is too small to go global”. Less than 1% of US companies export and of those 98% are small and midsize companies. The number one export that we have as a country is services. Those that export have higher profits, higher revenues, higher salaries, higher valuations, and they're more stable companies. State and federal governments offer free support to help small and mid-sized businesses. We import so much more than we export that the US is always trying to encourage companies to export. The first step that you need to take is to understand what your company strategy is. Then you can set up a marketing plan. Your multilingual marketing plan or your global marketing plan will need to align with your marketing strategy. The second step is to set up a process. You want to streamline the process and document it so that it's repeatable. Once you figure that out for one country or one language, then you can repeat it across others. It's better to become an expert in something and be bilingual than to just train in a general language.    Links:  Facebook: [guests facebook] Twitter: https://twitter.com/RapportIntl LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/wendypease/ Company Website: https://www.rapporttranslations.com Personal Website: https://wendypease.com/home/ Wendy’s Linktree: https://linktr.ee/wendypease Book Link: The Language of Global Marketing https://www.amazon.com/Language-Global-Marketing-Strategies-International/dp/1736561405   Shout Outs: The Global Marketing Show Podcast - https://www.theglobalmarketingshow.com Entrepreneurs Organization Boston: www.eoboston.org 10K SB (10,000 Small Business) by Goldman Sachs: https://www.10ksbapply.com Center for Women & Enterprise: https://www.cweonline.org SBDC: https://americassbdc.org Analytix Solutions: https://www.analytix.com Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence Alicia Marie at People Biz: https://peoplebizinc.com/alicia-marie Brian Morris: https://www.linkedin.com/in/brian-morris-b321197/ Marketing Automation Unleashed: https://www.amazon.com/Marketing-Automation-Unleashed-Strategic-Growth/   Ways to Tune In: Apple Podcast - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/leadership-in-action/id1585042233 Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/2t4Ksk4TwmZ6MSfAHXGkJI Stitcher - https://www.stitcher.com/show/leadership-in-action Google Play - https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubGVhZGVyc2hpcGluYWN0aW9uLmxpdmUvZmVlZC54bWw Amazon Music - https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/4263fd02-8c9b-495e-bd31-2e5aef21ff6b/leadership-in-action YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVD4hgPKgh07mjPHhXftpiw
