Gold defends Sharks' game plan

Sharks director of rugby Gary Gold doesn’t believe that anything is wrong with the Sharks’ game-plan even though the Durban-based franchise has only won one of their four matches in Super Rugby so far. Gold says it is about a lack of execution more than there being a problem with their game-plan with Gold calling for calm in the face of heavy criticism as the Sharks have now lost two games in a row. The Sharks play against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Saturday, the very same team that inflicted the Sharks their first loss of the season in round one. Gold says his team want to play an exciting brand of rugby and believes that they have the players to do so. The Sharks will welcome back Springbok prop Tendai “The Beast” Mtawarira to the team after three weeks out of action because of injury and Gold believes that the value of having an all Springbok frontrow will be immense for the Sharks on Saturday.
