Golden Grizzlies Face Tough Non-Conference Schedule | Oakland Golden Grizzlies Basketball News

Oakland University’s Golden Grizzlies just unveiled a brutal non-conference slate for the 2026-27 season, mixing exhibition games with high-stakes matchups against powerhouse programs. They open with three tune-ups against Grand Valley State, Tennessee State, and Cincinnati, then immediately dive into the deep end with a road trip to face reigning NCAA champs Michigan, followed by Stanford, UC Santa Barbara, Alabama, and Boise State. Back home briefly for Northern Iowa, they hit the road again for Arizona State and Purdue, plus two tough games against Houston in November. December brings Arkansas and Toledo before culminating in their annual showdown against Tom Izzo’s Michigan State Spartans — this time on Spartan turf in East Lansing. It’s a grueling, high-octane schedule designed to prep them for conference play and a potential deep tournament run — and we’re watching every step of it.
