December's Golden Guest is George Hughes -a co-founder of the Next Shift Hockey podcast.  George shares his personal journey of healing mentally, physically, and emotionally after playing professional hockey and transiting into his 'next shift' in life. As the pandemic hit and jobs were discontinued, George found himself having to restart again after working at NBC for five years. Thus, fate led George to start the Next Shift Hockey podcast with two brothers. to help other former hockey players at all levels to share their stories of 'life after hockey'. podcasting with hockey players/guests who have had to also start over. From the famous to the intramural hockey players-young and old- guests share very personal uplifting life changing stories that have made this podcast a ground breaker in their hockey 'niche'.
