Níger vive momentos tensos, muy tensos, tras lo que, al principio, era solo un intento de golpe de Estado, que finalmente, se concretó. Y el ejército de este país anunció haber derrocado al presidente, Mohamed Bazoum. En tres comunicados leídos en la televisión nigerina, los representantes de los golpistas dijeron que el hecho se produce tras la "degradación continua de la situación de seguridad y la mala gestión económica y social" y decretaron el cierre de las fronteras. La guerra no da tregua. Hasta con 36 misiles de crucero atacó Rusia a diversas regiones de Ucrania, que fueron derribados por las defensas aéreas de ese país, y con 4 misiles supersónicos Kinzhal que no pudieron ser interceptados. Mientras eso ocurría, el ministro de Defensa de Rusia, Serguéi Shoigú mantenía un encuentro en Pionyang con el líder norcoreano, Kim Jong-un, invitado a los festejos del 70 aniversario del fin de la Guerra de Corea.La Reserva Federal de EE.UU. reanudó las subidas de los tipos de interés, tras una pausa en junio y aumentó las tasas 0,25 puntos porcentuales. De esta manera, los tipos pasan a situarse en una horquilla de entre el 5,25 % y el 5,5 %, alcanzando su máximo nivel desde 2001.
