Gone Fishing – the post resurrection reality check

For many of us, the times we’re living in can best be described as uncertain and fearful. Along with that comes a loss of control over circumstances, and a feeling of being adrift. When those times hit, we tend to reach for anything that gives us some form of control in our lives. For Peter, that feeling was never more real than it was after Jesus’ execution and resurrection. Life as he had known it, along with his hopes for the future was shattered. He turned to what was familiar and went fishing.
