Gonsolin’s Comeback Begins | Kansas City Royals News

Tony Gonsolin, former All-Star pitcher and Tommy John survivor, is inching back toward the majors with a rehab assignment for the Royals’ Triple-A squad — a cautious but hopeful step after serious elbow surgery. Once a Dodgers ace with a 3.34 ERA and World Series ring, Gonsolin’s return is being handled with care by Kansas City, who prioritize his long-term health over immediate impact. With a club option for 2027 on the table, his performance in Omaha could reshape his future — and fans are watching closely as he reclaims his place at the top of the mound.
