Good Bowling and Card Playing

We continue our journey through Grimm's Fairy Tales with the fourth story in the collection, Good Bowling and Card Playing. Buckle up, folks. This one's a bloody mess. Simple premise: a king says anyone who can stay in his castle for three nights can marry his beautiful daughter. But the castle-sitter that shows up is a psychopath who chooses violence and verbal taunting at literally every opportunity, and we're somehow supposed to think he's the hero of the story and handles everything perfectly. This story goes completely off the rails real quick. Disembodied legs falling out of a chimney, a pond full of dead animals, a sentient bed, and one seriously disturbed murderous housesitter. It's also worth noting that at no point does any bowling or card playing ever take place. Seriously, this one's insane. CONTENT WARNING: This crazy story involves cats and dogs being killed, so if you are not comfortable with this then feel free to skip to the next episode. The story is so ridiculous and nonsensical and unrealistic and there's so much other craziness going on that I wasn't particularly disturbed by it, but I totally understand anyone who wants to avoid this one.
