Good-Bye Numbers, Hello Deuteronomy

Rabbi Mike Feuer joins Rabbi Yishai Fleisher to say good-bye to the Book of Numbers, the book of Jewish politics and Jewish leadership, and begin the Book of Deuteronomy, the book of "things" - the book of Jewish philosophy. While, on the one hand, Moses recounts his proud moments of conquest in the trans-Jordan, he prepares Joshua and Caleb and a young nation for the heavy lifting of conquering the Land of Israel and of setting up a model society. Next, Rabbi Yishai reads your "I am a listener" emails, and finally, the Rio Olympics - why is the water so darn dirty?? Support the show
