Good Friday

from Open House Church Sermons · host KJ Tromp

Good Friday looks anything but good: Jesus is betrayed, arrested and killed despite His innocence. Yet He refuses retaliation, heals an enemy, and trusts His Father through darkness and injustice. His enemies seem to take His life, but Jesus freely gives it as the sacrifice for sin. God turns their goal of death into life, and His wounds bring healing for many. Because Jesus' righteousness covers sinners, they receive the full rights of God's children and can leave bitterness and darkness behind. Bible References: Luke 22:47–53, 23:44–49 Preacher: KJ Tromp
