The Church not only calls us to a perpetual remembrance of Our Savior's Cross and Death, but in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass we have a perpetual actualization of His Sacrifice. What's more, the Mass is the perpetual application, across space and time, of His Death. Nothing is more important. Darkness covered the earth on that original Good Friday, and today a spiritual darkness covers our beloved Church.
