Good Grief! I Need Pain Relief! Treatment of Acute Pain (CE)

Acute pain management can be challenging, especially in patients receiving chronic opioid therapy. Multimodal therapy using a combination of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions provides a synergistic approach to treating moderate to severe pain versus use of opioid monotherapy for pain control.  This session will review multimodal interventions recommended for acute pain management and highlight approaches for acute pain control in the opioid tolerant patient.  The information presented during the podcast reflects solely the opinions of the presenter.
