Good job
from Gif the Griot Hosted by iamtheGIF
“Good Job” by Gif is a raw, unfiltered portrait of growing up caught between praise and punishment, talent and neglect. The track tells the story of a gifted kid labeled “so smart” yet left unsupported, slipping through the cracks of the school system, pressured by family expectations, and eventually pushed toward survival over success. With haunting honesty, Gif flips the phrase “get a good job” into both a demand and a curse — a reminder of how society demands achievement without ever teaching the tools to reach it.
