Good News of Great Joy

Luke 2:6-12. Of all the amazing details surrounding the Christmas story, the premier detail at the top of the list is that in the fullness of time the long-awaited Messiah had finally arrived. On the night Christ was born His birth signified that God’s gospel invasion had begun for with the birth of the Bethlehem Baby God was ‘good news-ing’ His creation. And when news is good joy is meant to be great. In a phrase, the gospel of Christmas is the gospel of unspeakable joy because the Bethlehem Baby is Savior, Christ, and Lord.
