This week we talked about goodness—not as something we earn, but as the natural overflow of walking closely with God. Looking at Daniel 6, we saw how an 82-year-old man chose faithfulness over compromise, even when it landed him in a lions’ den. What stood out is that his enemies couldn’t find a single flaw in him except his devotion to God. Daniel had what Scripture calls “an excellent spirit”—not perfection, but integrity. He was the same person in public and in private.

Here’s the best part: real goodness doesn’t come from trying harder; it comes from walking closer. It’s not about striving—it’s about surrender.
