Dr. Mikos was making between 250 – 300 thousand dollars a year, which was a couple hundred thousand dollars over what other podiatrists were making in the area. When the federal government started interviewing his patients, they discovered he had been billing for hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of procedures that seemed suspicious for a foot doctor. He was able to manipulate his patients into lying for him...all but one that is. A disabled and retired nurse refused to play his game and was all set to testify against the doctor until one night just days before the hearing, she was silenced forever.
