Goodman's Power, Rockies' Struggles | Colorado Rockies News

Hunter Goodman just smashed his 38th homer of the season — and 23rd on the road — putting him second in Rockies history for road homers behind Larry Walker. His historic pace as a catcher? Unmatched since Javy Lopez in 2003. Despite another heartbreaking loss — the Rockies’ sixth straight — Goodman’s bat remains their bright spot. The bullpen collapsed in the eighth, with Jaden Hill surrendering five runs without an out, then Jordan Romano couldn’t stem the tide. It’s a pattern: close games, missed chances, and execution issues. But Schaeffer’s keeping morale high by spotlighting individual wins. For Goodman and the team, it’s about resilience — learning from the losses, celebrating the small wins, and staying positive even when the record stinks.
