Goodman’s Power Shatters Records | Colorado Rockies News

Hunter Goodman just hit his 38th home run of the season — a three-run blast that gave his team a 3-0 lead — and it’s not just another homer; it’s his 23rd on the road, putting him second all-time in road homers for the Rockies, trailing only Larry Walker. While he’s not replicating Walker’s 1997 MVP magic, Goodman’s raw power is dominating: he leads all qualified catchers in slugging percentage and homers. His road stats even outshine his home numbers, shutting down the Coors Field excuse. The key? He needs to improve plate discipline — fewer strikeouts, more walks — to keep pitchers from pitching around him and unlock even more offensive potential.
