GOP REPS DENOUNCE CONDITIONS FOR JAN 6 PRISONERSRep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Louie Gohmert, Matt Gaetz, and Paul Gosar spoke on Tuesday to give insight into the conditions under which defendants charged in the Capitol riot of January 6 are being held.MTG described the conditions: "They have been beaten by the guards they are called white supremacist. They are denied religious services, haircuts, shaving the ability to trim their fingernails... They're denied time with their attorneys. They are denied the ability to even see their families and have their families visit there. They are denied bail."She also stated that the prisoners who aren't able to afford attorneys are given public defenders who force them to denounce President Trump, denounce their political views, and "watch videos and read books that basically is critical race theory training in order for them to have this public defender represent them."These people are being treated worse than terrorists at Guantanamo Bay. Even terrorists are given access to religious services. And for what? Most of these people got swept up in the chaos, casually walked into the Capitol, took some pictures, and left. If people committed crimes, charge them. Don't hold them without charges - without bail for almost a year.
