Gophers’ Tougher Schedule Aims for Tournament Buzz | Minnesota Golden Gophers Basketball News

The Gopher men’s basketball team is stepping up their game with a dramatically tougher non-conference schedule, facing five Power Five opponents before conference play even begins. Coach Ben Johnson’s squad is primed to make noise — and prove they can compete with the best — as they tackle early road games against Cincinnati, Southern, and Western Illinois, then battle elite teams like Dayton, Virginia Tech, Utah, and Oklahoma State in the Charleston Classic. Later, they’ll host Cal, SMU, and finish strong against Texas Southern, Alcorn State, and UT-San Antonio. It’s not just about playing harder opponents — it’s about winning them. This schedule signals confidence, but ultimately, success hinges on execution. Can they rise to the challenge? Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
