Gorillaz

Hello and welcome to Melomaniax, the podcast where we take unbiased deep dives into the biggest musicians and bands of all time. But first - don't forget to like and subscribe on YouTube, follow on Instagram and TikTok and most importantly, hit us with those 5 star reviews on Apple Podcasts! A standard band, I would say, is a group of people that all play instruments together. And so far, that sounds like the band we’re talking about today, with the exception of the word “people”…we might need to swap that for "characters", because this band consists of completely imaginary, virtual characters. Though I say imaginary, the members think they are just as real as the rest of us. Including back stories and everything. These characters only exist because of the artistic imagination of two men. Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. Let’s jump into today’s subject, Gorillaz.
