Today’s guest is the Artistic Director of Art of Motion, Inc. a non-profit and home to The Art of Motion Dance Theatre. She has toured six out of seven continents and almost all of the United States. A former soloist with the Nikolais Dance Theatre she is the recipient of an international Andrew W. Mellon Cultural Exchange Fund Award and a National Dance Magazine Award for Choreography. Her work has been featured at the global TEDMED Conference held at the Kennedy Center, as well as Jacob’s Pillow and The Smithsonian Museum. She has been recognized by foundations, universities and press including Vanity Fair, The New York Times, Women’s Wear Daily, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, the Daily News and the Village Voice. She earned her B.A. in Dance from Connecticut College where she was the recipient of the Dance Magazine National Award for choreography. Her work COOL WAVE, featured in Dance Magazine was performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. It is my honor to introduce today’s guest, Lynn Needle.
