We are wise if we follow God’s calling on our lives, directed by scripture, confirmed through prophecy. This provides a position of faith, an ongoing assurance through easy times and difficult of our position within God’s purposes. Further Paul’s motivation was, as ours must always be, not our power or recognition but the glory of God.
