Gov. Cox announces new restrictions for Pioneer Day fireworks

Amid the annual Days of '47 cattle drive today, Governor Spencer Cox announced a new kind of hybrid fireworks restriction policy for the Pioneer Day holiday. The governor said there will be different kinds of restrictions depending on the area -- that some areas of the state have received enough monsoonal moisture to warrant easing restrictions. But in other areas -- like along the Wasatch Front -- the governor said stricter restrictions are necessary.
