Governor Calls General Assembly Into Special Session

Frustrated by a lack of action by leadership in the Ohio House to pass a bill that would put Joe Biden on Ohio’s November ballot and outlaw foreign campaign contributions directed towards statewide ballot campaigns, Governor Mike DeWine executed Article III Section 8 of the Ohio Constitution. This week Senate President Matt Huffman and Senator Rob McColley talk about the Senate's efforts to outlaw campaign contributions originating outside of the United States, while also putting Joe Biden on the ballot. The House walked away from those bills passed by the Senate. The Governor called the House's failure to act, "simply unacceptable," "absurd," and "ridiculous."
